PNC Park Eats
September 19, 2009 at 12:00 am | Posted in Dinner, Entertainment, Travels | 4 CommentsSo part of this awesome trip to Pittsburgh was a visit to the PNC Park to watch the Pirates battle it out with the Cardinals and Pujols! Well I have had Primanti bros sandwiches for a couple of years now, ever since I was sent to Steel Town for business alot! But Ned had never had a fresh sandwich! ( I brought him back one once, but it sat for 5 hours in the car…) I was so excited to be able to have one for dinner at the baseball game!

So the cool thing about coming to a Pirates game is the fact that my gramps used to play for them! (Although in a different older ballpark, but it was still cool!) Just thinking about the fifties and my abuelitos living around these hills was nice to think about. So here is the only Primanti Bros stand in the ballpark, behind the first base line. Check out the food and a view below!

This is one amazing shot of a sandwich the way a sandwich should always be made. The fries, flavorful meat, cheese and bright coleslaw all combine to one satisfying meal in one bite!

Here is the view from behind home plate. Note the beautiful Three Sisters Bridge in the background. This ballpark, like Camden Yards, was built to accentuate and highlight the beautiful city surrounding it. PNC Park is a great park! We sat in the bleachers and were amazed how close we were to the field! This place has a cozy minor league ballpark feel with all the food and drinks that anyone could ask for! And the view? wowsa! Pittsburgh sure knows how to impress their visitors with some amazing views.

Yum! I love good subs, too bad there aren’t any here in Maine. Jealous!

I remember when we went to a Primanti a few year back. One of the best sandwiches I have ever had.
