Going Random at Rallo’s
December 22, 2008 at 10:55 am | Posted in Brunch, Travels | 2 CommentsI was very excited last weekend to join my buddies, Julie & Meg, at this fine Baltimore historical eating establishment. This place is great! The owner of 40 years still was working the register and was a delightful little man! Everything there is clearly homemade and it shines.

Locust Point is really an up and coming neighborhood and it is blessed to have such a gem. Apparently during the weekdays you can see local politicians and other people of Baltimore significance. Check out our random “breakfast” below!
I wasn’t feeling my regular heavy breakfast choices (french toast anyone??) so I decided on a buttermilk biscuit and applesauce. What a tender piece of breakfast deliciousness! And homemade applesauce? I don’t think I’ve ever had homemade applesauce… and with a coke? Us foodie gals are strange birds sometimes, but it was a tasty breakfast nonetheless.

Julie, who seems to crave lunch food, much more so than Meg and I, got a BLT. Simple and delicious ingredients worked perfectly for this sandwich.

Meg got the most tasty pick of the morning (I would say)- the cinnamon roll! It had good flavor and was nice and warm, perfect for the cold and blustery day.

That all looks so delicious! I crave lunch food more than breakfast foods. I think I have a salt tooth!
