In love with Annabel Lee Tavern
August 18, 2008 at 8:29 pm | Posted in Dinner, Travels | 5 CommentsFriday night happy hour was spent very happily with my girl, Jesica, and at Annabel Lee Tavern (within walking distance of her place! yay!). Neither of us had ever stopped by and boy are we glad this neighborhood has been bestowed upon by such a gem!
Here, below, is an Ozzy (yay Brewer’s- The owner used to be a bartender there!) and the most succulent and delicious duck fat french fries that Bawlmer has to offer!
Next, we split a bottle of this Saison, which was also very refreshing and satisfied our belgian beer cravings perfectly.

And for our light dinner we split the Lamb Sliders! BOY OH BOY! Insanely savory and tasty! The brioche roll and maple glistened sweet potato fries went awesome.

All in all, we are going to start going here, very very often. Kurt, the owner, is a tavern genius!

Cool site.
That’s probably an Ozzy, not a Resurrection, the Resurrection is much darker (although similarly potent as far as alcohol!). Or a LaChoffe like the glassware, as they make a Belgian IPA beer that’s fairly light colored.
And that Southampton Saison is very, very good. Fantastic choice.
I’ll have to check out the Annabel Lee at some point, nice writeup and pics.

Great restaurant. My company Hardly Square designed the website. We’ve been going ever since.
