Thai Arroy
August 16, 2008 at 1:02 pm | Posted in Dinner, Entertainment | 1 CommentWell Thursday night was quite a lovely one on the town! Checked out the Body Worlds exhibit (not too appetite enhancing.. but nonetheless very fascinating!) Dinner at Thai Arroy in Federal Hill was delicious! I ordered (which is now becoming a standard) drunken noodles with duck! I would have to say that Thai restaurant has tastier drunken noodles, but this duck meat was fantastic!

Check out the rest of dinner below.
We also got the chicken Mussa-Mun which was a southern thai curry with coconut milk, potatoes and peanuts! This was my favorite dish of the night, which suprised me! For awhile now I have had this “aversion” to coconut things, but now it seems that the coconut, milk at least, is a welcome addition to my palate! Thank gosh for cute boys with good taste!

And extra hilarity for the evening was supplanted by this wine, an Encyclopedia Tempranillo by Francis Ford Coppola.

Apparently its a Tempranillo (from spain of course) but it comes in a strange bottle (ahem, erlenmeyer flask) with pink labels, etc and it has a molecule etched in the glass! Now I don’t bring out my chemnerdiness very often on this blog, but since this is a “food” thing and it was so obviously chemistry girlie, it was a must.

I love that you didn’t shy away from photographing your food on a first date. You’ve almost got me convinced Thai food isn’t the devil’s work like I generally believe.
