Well Laurita and I love our salmon, and I have a ton of asian ingredients lying around, so I figured I could concoct a dressing that would blend the last two asian dishes I made! Do you remember these my devoted readers?? You know who I’m talking about- shout out to lombard st!!

Some of my family is out of town visiting Chicago for my cousin Mag’s lacrosse finals, so we are watching the young one in the family! Grandma concocted the idea to get ribs for our sunday dinner, but I said Heck! I can make them just as easy! I went to wegmans and got three racks! This is my old recipe from Dave Lieberman.

Last night was the third installment of our Sex and the City girlie party! The first one I held right after I started grad school (circa 2005) and the second was in February as a “who cares about V-Day – I love my girlfriends! night.” It was about time to flex my “mad” (haha) baking skills! We ate all (well not allll) of those lovely desserts, I made a steak thai pasta dish from tyler florence for dinner and we got our sex and the city fix!

Girlie party dessert #2! (In addition to the cheesecake pops! oh they are still amazingly delicious even after 2 weeks!) I found this inspiration from la tartine gourmande. Megan and I were discussing earlier in the week about amazing desserts for the party and we came up with the idea for strawberry tart, and luckily la tartine gourmande made one last week!
My dear friend Megan lives right around the corner from Waverly and she and I decided to make a strawberry tart for our girlie party. She told me she would pick up some strawberries from the F.M. and I decided to come along too! I got some other delicious things for the party and for my enjoyment!
The pain au chocolat (from Uptown Bakers) was delicious (laurita agreed!) and the arugula looks nice and fresh. Sweet Alethea had these lovely pink snap dragons for 4 bucks! They are going to look amazing on my party dinner table tonight! Lastly, the strawberries are from virginia and they smell AMAZING and I cannot wait to slice them up for my chocolate tart!
I had a huge bunch of cilantro from the crispy asian chicken salad left over so I decided to utilize it for some sauce for the salmon!
The addition of some wegmans asian barbecue sauce (leftover from spare ribs) made it extra tasty!

On Wednesday night, I took my mentor to another foodie/beer stop in my Baltimore favorites! Thirsty Dog! (which is now named dog pub for some strange reason…and does not allow dogs for some other stupid reason! (health dept? do you suck? ))
I got the baja chihuahua (and boy it was HOT!!). It consisted of chipotle sauce, shredded mozzerella, lime marinated chicken, spinach, sliced tomatoes, red peppers and hot pepper flakes! And I downed this with some bloodhounds and boxers!
I am making a larger tart this weekend for my girlie party, but I had some leftover dough so I thought I would make something lovely for dear sweet Grandma! (and I had some rhubarb I bought like 2 weeks ago and was dying to cook with!)
Grandma said this one was delicious (she graciously split it with grandpa too!) so hopefully my next tart (that I will taste) will be just as good!
Laurita has been craving spaghetti lately, so I figured I would do my best to make something from the pantry!
